Michelle visited this site and gave me the opportunity to interview her. Read my Interview with Michelle Pfeiffer.

Michelle Pfeiffer has been nominated for 3 Academy Awards, 2 MTV Movie Awards, 6 Golden Globe Awards, and 2 Blockbuster Entertainment Awards. Modern culture has lost track of how many "Most Beautiful" lists she has been on.

Still, she is not a vain and self-absorbed superstar. When asked what is most important in her life, she quickly responds, "My family." She makes sacrifices in her career for her family, instead of making sacrifices in her family for her career. She still plans date nights with her husband and picks up her kids from school.

With Michelle's 50th birthday coming up soon, she's making headlines. The Times Online ssalutes five other ladies (including MIchelle, obviously) approaching the big five-zero.

Michelle's movie Hairspray was nominated in 10 categories and brought home an amazing 4 wins in this year's Laurence Olivier Awards in Great Britain. It also won seven awards at last month's Theatregoer's Choice Awards, the most prestigious prize decided by the general public, which are organised by What's On Stage magazine. It has also won eight Tony Awards. While this is for the Broadway musical and not for the movie, it still brings attention to Michelle's work. Her movie is available on DVD also.

I almost didn't post this because this article has just one sentence about Michelle. But, since it's such an interesting sentence, I had to share it with you all. And here it is!

The Car Domain Blog has several promotional shots for a short-lived 1980 TV series called B.A.D. Cats. As you might know, this was one of Michelle's 1st appearances in Hollywood. Though this television show didn't propel her to stardom, it certainly helped to get her foot in the door. They have several "vintage" pictures that I hadn't seen before, so go ahead and check it out.

"Move over Brittany Spears and Jessica Alba, the women in the 'Over 50 Club' are stealing your clout." Is it any surprise that Michelle continues to set the standard for beauty, even though she may be twice as old as many other women in Hollywood?
